Description

A short walk from the town of Ushuaia I found this Redtail Hawk at the waters edge of the harbour.

Habitat and Range: They are native to South America, specifically in countries such as Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Paraguay, and Uruguay. Diet: These birds are generalist predators and scavengers, feeding on carrion, human refuse, insects, and small mammals. Behavior: They are relatively weak flyers and often hunt from the ground by running and jumping to catch prey.
